Uniquinox Tarot Alive | Join us for an outdoor puppetry festival in July

We are thrilled to announce Uniquinox Tarot Alive, an outdoor puppetry festival on Saturday, July 9, that will feature large-scale puppets, interactive art, poetry reading, live music, and food.

Collaboratively organized by a group of Interact artists and staff, the festival imagines new futures through the lens of the Tarot, cultivating perseverance, strength, and growth through the deck’s iconic symbols and archetypes.

Uniquinox Tarot Alive is free, open to the public, and family friendly. Oversized puppets of The Lovers, Death, The Sun, and a humorous interactive oracle will intermingle alongside carnival games, live art-making, music by Alma Andina, and a food truck from Saint Paul’s El Burrito Mercado. An accompanying exhibition will open at Interact Gallery the following week.

The celebration debuts after two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, which hit the disability community especially hard. Resisting and persisting through isolation and uncertainty has instilled lessons in accessibility, community care, and the importance of art in times of crisis.

We hope you'll join us for this interdisciplinary event and companion exhibition at the height of summer!
